The Rise of Computer Game Culture ‘Dungeons and Dreamers’ From Geek to Chic’ by Brad King and John Borland.

I found this book to be quite good, it talks about how the game culture started and basic backgorund of game development from Garage (one man game) to corparation’s with multimillion game development.

It also talks about Role playing games in the days when the interne was called ARPANET and how games were text only.

It also talks about Doom and Quake a little bit. It also follows Richard Garriots History and how he came to write such games as Ultima 7.

This book is for somebody who is intrested in Computer games and how they were developed. I think that this book would have a limited appeal to people.
